The article offers a tentative theological approach to the challenges implied by the “Corona”-pandemic. It reconsiders the liturgical restrictions in the light of the Christological and ecclesiological meaning of liturgy and the soteriological contexts of humans’ embodied existence. But there is also the question how new social media can be implemented in pastoral and liturgical contexts: Based on the metaphysical notion of artefact the author votes for an open reflection on the use of social media. In a final chapter the paper advocates a holistic interpretation of nature as an organism in order to establish a theological reflection of the crisis.
