«You Save Man and Beast, O Lord!» (Psalm 36:6): Divine Care for all Living Beings. The relationship between humans and animals has received increased attention in recent years. Can we still assume an essential difference between them? The Bible clearly subordinates animals to man, but also shows that the latter is responsible for them. Many texts testify to a sensitivity for and appreciation of the contribution which animals give to mankind.
