In biblischen Texten beschränkt sich das Substantiv šēm nicht auf seine denotative Funktion, sondern wird dazu verwendet, um die Beziehung zwischen der Person, die benannt wird, und der erzählten Realität auf der echten oder symbolischen Erzählebene auszudrücken. Überlegungen zum Namen als einem Schlüsselbegriff im jüdischen Denken und seiner Religion liegen dieser Untersuchung zugrunde. Diese Studie konzentriert sich auf den Namen Jerusalems im Rettungsorakel von Bar 4,5- 5,9 am Ende des Buches.
In the biblical texts the substantive šēm is not limited to its denotative function but is employed to express the relationship established between the person who names and the reality named, whether at the real or symbolic level. Reflection on the name as a key concept in Jewish thought and religion is at the root of this paper. Our study will concentrate on the name of Jerusalem in the concluding passage of the book of Baruch, that is, the oracle of salvation of Bar 4:5-5:9.
