On the Road to Communion? Pope Francis and the Ecumenical Commemoration of the Reformation in Lund. On the 31st of October 2016 Pope Francis visited the Swedish town Lund to celebrate the jubilee of the Reformation together with the Lutheran World Federation. It is a historic event and turning point made possible by the accomplishments of ecumenical dialogue. But the itinerary «from conflict to communion» has not yet reached its destination. Catholic and Lutherans are still unable to share eucharistic communion, a fact that was concertedly identified as a «wound in the Body of Christ».
