JHWH als Zeitgenosse: Die transfunktionale Kraft des biblischen Monotheismus im Zeitalter von KI. Der beispiellose Erfolg von Chat GPT und anderer large language models lenkt im aktuellen KI-hype den Blick auf die Sprache als das Urmedium und Alleinstellungsmerkmal des Menschen. Nichts entzieht sich ihrer Darstellungsfunktion. Daher verdient der Zugriff von KI auf die Sprache höchste Aufmerksamkeit. Texte ohne menschlichen Autor, die sich verselbstständigen und sich mithilfe ihres Algorithmus selbst optimieren können, enthalten eine totalitäre Potenz. Davor warnen die Köpfe des Silicon Valley selbst.
Auch im zweiten Teil des Textes steht die Sprache im Mittelpunkt. JHWH ist schon als Sprachphänomen ein absoluter Singular. Der Glutkern des biblischen Monotheismus lebt von einer Simultaneität von Präsenz und Vorenthaltung. Dies gilt auch für die Kultschrift, durch die Israel das Kultbild als Gottesmedium ersetzen kann. Israels Kritik an den Funktionsgottheiten des Polytheismus begründet den transfunktionalen Kern des biblischen Monotheismus und damit seine Aktualität als großes Gegenüber der künstlichen Intelligenz. JHWH, der sich offenbart indem er sich zugleich vorenthält, bleibt das Andere des Funktionalismus auch dort, wo er noch keine totalitären Züge trägt.
YHWH as a Contemporary. The Transfunctional Power of Biblical Monotheism in the Age of AI. In the current AI-hype, the unprecedented success of ChatGPT and other large language models is drawing attention to language as the original medium and unique characteristic of humans. Nothing escapes it representional function. This is why AI’s access to language deserves the utmost attention. Texts without a human author that can take on a life of their own and optimize themselves with the help of their algorithm contain a totalitarian potential. The heads of Silicon Valley themselves warn against this.
The second part of the text also focuses on language. YHWH is already an absolute singular as a linguistic phenomenon. The glowing core of biblical monotheism lives from a simultaneity of presence and withholding. This also applies to the cultscript, through which Israel can replace the cult-image as a medium of God. Israels criticism of the functional deities of polytheism establishes the transfunctional core of biblical monotheism and thus its actuality as the great counterpart of artificial intelligence. YHWH, who reveals himself by simultaneously withholding himself remains the great other of functionalism even where it does not bear totalitarian traits.
