Das reine Opfer. Das Opfer ist eine Form der Kommunikation zwischen Gott und Mensch. Diese Kommunikation funktioniert nur, wenn sie die rein funktionale Ebene überschreitet, das heißt: wenn der Opfernde in der Gabe des Opfers nicht nur etwas, sondern immer auch sich selbst gibt. So wie in jeder gelungen Kommunikation die Gesprächsteilnehmer, wenn es keine Roboter, sondern Personen sind, nicht nur etwas, sondern sich selbst in Freiheit mitteilen, so ist jedes Opfer Vollzug einer personalen Mitteilung. Sein ursprünglicher Sitz im Leben ist die Begegnung im Rahmen einer Audienz. Wenn dies nicht der Fall ist, wenn die personale Mitteilung nur vorgetäuscht wird, spricht der Prophet Maleachi von einem unreinen Opfer, von einem Opfer, das in Wahrheit kein Opfer ist und von Gott nicht angenommen werden kann. In einem solchen Fall kommt eine Kommunikation zwischen Gott und Mensch nicht zustande oder bricht umgehend ab.
The Pure Sacrifice. Sacrifice is a form of communication between God and man. This communication only works if it transcends the purely functional level, i.e. if the person making the sacrifice not only gives something in the gift of the sacrifice, but also always gives himself. Just as in every successful communication the participants, if they are not robots but persons, communicate not only something but also themselves in freedom, so every sacrifice is the realisation of a personal communication. Its original place in life is the encounter within the framework of an audience. If the personal communication is only simulated, the prophet Malachi speaks of an impure sacrifice, a sacrifice that is not really a sacrifice and cannot be accepted by God. In such a case, the communication between God and man does not work, or it breaks off immediately.
