Denominations as Traditions? This article deals with the challenges of ecumenism today and argues that there can be a plurality of forms of expression and different types of the gestalt of the one truth of the Gospel. These traditions are neither contingent nor authoritative. Catholicism in it’s genuin sense allows for a theological, spiritual, and liturgical plurality of forms which do not exclude each other, but have a rather complementary relationship.
