Job’s Path Through The Dark Night. In conversation with John of the Cross the article describes Job's journey to God as a journey through the Dark Night, as a long way from faith to sight. Satan's intended goal of creating an alienation between Job and God failed – on the contrary: through suffering Job's relationship with God is deepened. At the end he testifies: «By hearsay I had heard of you, but now my eye has seen you» (Job 42:5).
