Realizing the Real Presence: On Eucharistic Adoration. Ever since the days of the early followers of Jesus the Eucharist is difficult to understand. The Eucharistic bread is a saturated phenomenon (phenomène saturé), a thing sensually perceived containing an abundance of meaning. Eucharistic Adoration provides the time to reflect this fullness: Christ’s offering himself as a gift.
