The Reformation Anniversary 2017 and the Commitment to Jesus Christ. The upcoming anniversary of the Reformation reaches it’s climax in a eucumenical «Christusfest», a feast of Jesus Christ, that ought to be shaped by forgiveness, freedom and ecumenism. It is indispensable, that this feast, celebrated by Catholics and Protestants together, is centered on the biblical Jesus Christ, the Messiah of the People of God. The «Christusfest» can only be a feast of reconciliation if the picture of Jesus Christ is shaped by a biblical theology of the People of God.
