A Commentary that Invites Thought. Dieter Böhler's Commentary on the Psalms and Questions of Biblical Hermeneutics. Dieter Böhler’s commentary on Psalms 1–50 completes the interpretation of the Psalter in HTHKAT. In doing so, he strives to balance diachronic and synchronic exegesis. The commentary volume is distinguished by the fact that the reception of the Psalms by Fathers of the Church and in the liturgy is taken into account. A lasting follow-up question to the commentary is the Christological hermeneutics of Old Testament texts and their relationship to the unity of the Christian Bible.
