Des Glaubens neue Kleider. Zum fundamentaltheologischen Entwurf von Peter Knauer SJ. Peter Knauer verfolgt das Ziel, die fundamentaltheologische Begründung des biblisch-christlichen Glaubens auf eine völlig neue Grundlage zu stellen. Er beansprucht damit, alle Widersprüche und Probleme, die in der traditionellen Glaubensbegründung bestehen, zu lösen. Seine ‹Lösung› allerdings reduziert Gott für den Menschen auf einen reinen Gedankenpunkt, der in keiner realen Beziehung zur Welt steht, und Jesus Christus zum ‹Menschen›, der von Gott geistig-illuminativ als Sohn aufgenommen wird. Das letzte Ziel des menschlichen Lebens besteht darin, im diesseitigen Leben durch das Wort Jesu zu glauben, dass der Mensch nicht allein ist, denn Gott existiert, und Jesu Beispiel folgend, zu wahrer Menschlichkeit zu finden.
The Faith’s New Clothes. The Concept of Fundamental Theology by Peter Knauer SJ. Peter Knauer claims to establish in Fundamental Theology a totally new foundation of the biblical-christian faith. His aim is to find the answer to all contradictions and problems in traditional justification of faith. His ‹solution›, however, reduces God to a point of thinking in the human mind, who has no real relation to the world, and Jesus Christ to a human being, who is adopted by God by spirtual illumination. The ultimate purpose of a human being in wordly life is to believe due to the word of Jesus, that human beings are not alone, because God exists, and following the example of Jesus to reach true humanity.
