The title “Acta Spiritus Sancti” goes back to the Oecumenius’ commentary on Acts in the 6th century. The Holy Spirit is according to the Acts not yet a person in the modern meaning of the word, but according to the means of antique prosôpopoieia Luke presents the Spirit as a narrative figure. The fourfold sending of the Spirit (2,1-4; 8,14-17; 10,44-48; 19,1-7) builds a theological structure for Lukan historiography: First, the Spirit restores the unity Israel, and afterwards He builds the new unity of the people.
