As Thomas Aquinas says, God was able to create a world better than the real world. This better world could have more or better beings than the real world has. Therefore, the best possible world should be the best according to these criteria. The paper argues that Aquinas should not accept a possible world which is the best world according to these criteria. He should not only hold that God was able to create a world better than the real world, but also that, given any real world, God could create a better one.
