Johannes Pohl (1904–1960) – from Old Testament scholar to apostate and Rosenberg’s accomplice” – This article points out some hitherto unknown aspects of the priest Johannes Pohl, who began his academic career as a mediocre scholar of the Old Testament, had himself laicised and then played a decisive role in the looting of Jewish libraries on behalf of the National Socialist regime.
