Stephan Paul: With more Courage for a Market Economy! On the remarks on the Financial Market Crisis from the View of a Banking Economist
In view of the remarks on the fi nancial market crisis the new social encyclical cannot convince the author of the following article. He regards the formal weakness in the lack of a coherent chapter on the current fi nancal market crisis. Onle scattered references can be found thoughout the whole text. As regardscontent the banking economist criticizes the text’s understanding of realisation of profi t and profi t appropriation. The role of a civil society has to be outlined more clearly in order to make precise demands on the market players.
Stephan Paul : Plus de courage à l’égard du marché. Les considérations sur la crise financière commentées par un spécialiste bancaire
L’auteur de cet article est loin d’êtreconvaincu des propos de la nouvelle encyclique concernant la crise des marchés fi nanciers. En ce qui concerne la forme, il considère comme un manque qu’il n’y ait pas de chapitre particulier sur la crise actuelle des marchés fi nanciers. A ce sujet, on ne trouve que quelques références dispersées à travers le texte. Sur le fond, l’expert juge nécessaire d’apporter certaines corrections à la conception de la réalisation et de l’application du profit. Selon lui, le rôle de la société civile devrait être défi ni plus clairement afi n de pouvoir établir des exigences plus précises à l’égard des acteurs du marché.
