Michael Schramm: From Supranaturalism to Democracy. Why it is no longer possible without a Reinvention of Christianity
If in view of a clericalism cultivated by the church authorities the topic “more democracy and participation in the church” is at stake, then it is not only a problem of church organization (which, of course, it also is). On the contrary, one very quickly comes across profound theological figures of thought that belong to the core of ecclesiastically constituted Christianity – and which, in my opinion, are simply no longer tenable. The theological thought pattern that plays a central role here and must be overcome is “supranaturalism”. Nothing less than a comprehensive re-invention of Christianity is necessary, both theologically and in terms of church organization.

Quand il s’agit, face à un cléricalisme cultivé par les autorités, du thème de » plus de démocratie et de participation dans l’Eglise «, il n’y va pas seulement d’un problème d’organisation d’Eglise (cela est bien-sûr aussi le cas). Plutôt, on se retrouve très vite devant des figures de pensée théologique profondes qui font partie du noyau du christianisme constitué comme Eglise – et qui, à mon avis, ne sont carrément plus à maintenir. Le modèle de pensée théologique qui y joue un rôle majeur et qui doit être surmonté,
c’est le » supranaturalisme «. Rien de moins qu’une complète réinvention du christianisme est nécessaire, tant sur le plan théologique qu’en termes d’organisation de l’Eglise,
