Julia Blanc/Daniel Bogner/Gerhard Kruip: Introduction: One Same Justice – for the World and for the Church?
Due to the current crisis of the Catholic Church in Germany, Europe and the world, questions that were left in the dark for a long time become topical: What about the implementation of various demands of the Church on “the world in itself”? To what extent should and must the Church apply her own social doctrine also to herself? Above all questions of power and the role of the laity as partners in dialogue, alliance and formation are in the foreground. Impulses for this are provided by the apparently outdated division of powers, the restriction of access to decisive positions to consecrated men and the struggle over what the Church and the following of Jesus Christ mean today. The introduction, after a reference to current controversies, discusses the application of principles of the fair shaping of societies to the Church, and also gives an overview of the contributions of this issue.
