Stefan Silber: God on the Road. A Research Project for City Pastoral in Latin America
The megacities of Latin America present many challenges for the churches. In a joint research project of the University of Osnabrück and scholars from Latin America they were investigated. This project and some of its results are being presented here, and some theological and social-ethical deliberations are annexed. It be becomes evident that the manifold problems of the megacities can only be dealt with through a diversified approach. This diversity is guided by the option for the poor and directed towards the good life of all.

Les mégapoles de l‘Amérique latine mettent l‘Eglise devant de nombreux défis. Ceux-ci faisaient l’objet d’un projet de recherche à l’université d‘Osnabrück auquel étaient associés des groupes de chercheurs en Amérique latine. L‘article présente ce projet ainsi qu’un certain nombre de ses résultats en y ajoutant quelques réfl exions théologiques et d’éthique sociale. Il apparaît que les divers problèmes des grandes villes ne peuvent être abordés que par une pratique diversifi ée. Cette diversité prend pour ligne directrice l’option pour les pauvres et a pour objectif une vie digne pour tous.
